It's is an adventure story that is relatable to everyday life. When faced with a challenge or searching for more meaning in life, the path forward is uncertain. We feel stuck and unsure. Come along on my adventure and discover what truly holds us back. Sign up to be the first to know. |
The adventure takes me to the Canadian wilderness in re-creating the 1926 expedition of mountaineers Don and Phyllis Munday who spent ten years in search of Mystery Mountain. Officially named Mt. Waddington, the tallest peak in the Coast Mountains of British Columbia, it remains notoriously difficult to access.
Equipped with '20's-era climbing gear and a century-old camera, I captured the gruelling five-week expedition of the Canadian EH Society in July 2018, bringing Canadian history to life. Find out more about my photo project using an original Kodak No. 2 camera.

ABOUT ME
Artist - Writer - Photographer
My name is Susanna Oreskovic and I am an observer. As a photographer and writer I communicate through image and word about things I see in the world. At times the story is right in front of us, at times forgotten or hidden but always there is a lesson or a perspective to be known.
I see myself as a modern day explorer, someone curious about how we view world we live in, how it has changed and what connects us through time. I live to be creative and seem to find the unconventional liberating. My opera of life is found in places off the beaten path. There is life in art and art reflects life. |
"In photography there is a reality so subtle that it becomes more real than reality"
